Why Mitsubishi Motors participates in Parker

One of the unique characteristics about Parker is that International automotive brands, utilities and grid integration specialists come together to pave the way for a global rollout of V2G.

The car manufacturers, Mitsubishi, Nissan and PSA Groupe, who participate in the project, are already at the forefront of grid integration development, and have implemented the technology known as vehicle-to-grid (V2G) in various car models.

However, a global rollout of grid-integrated vehicles calls for common ground – a universal definition – so thousands of electric vehicles of all makes and regardless of their location will be able to provide electricity to the power grid according to the local grid needs.

Masaya Ota, President at Mitsubishi Motor R&D, Europe GmbH, here explains why Mitsubishi Motors participates in Parker:

β€œAt Mitsubishi Motors, we strive to contribute to the V2G technical demonstration with our EV PHEV vehicle. We have been selling more than 150.000 units of our EV PHEV vehicle around the world since 2009. We try to provide new value to our customers with a V2G service.

At first, we would like to thank you for being able to collaborate with DTU and Nuvve who made a remarkable achievement in the Nikola project. We are very fortunate to be able to participate in this project, and we are looking forward to sharing our experience in EV PHEV with the Parker project.”
