Why Parker develops a Grid Readiness Certificate

One of the Pillars of Parker is to produce a Grid Integrated Vehicle (GIV) certificate which demonstrates whether vehicles and chargers are able to support the power grid.

In order to do so, the project specifies the technical parameters (grid keys) needed by electric vehicles to provide power and energy services to the power grid. The GIV certificate demonstrates the ability of electric vehicles to support such parameters.

In the video below, Thomas Meier Sørensen, Project Officer at EV-Lab, DTU explains why and how Parker will lay the grounds for developing such a grid readiness certificate.
